CLOSR Coaches Confirmed

We are delighted to confirm the wonderful Pippa Best and Jan Armstrong have come on board as coaches for our CLOSR Development Programme.

Pippa has worked in feature film development and as a script consultant for over 20 years. She project managed two significant EU-funded media development projects: the Cross Channel Film Lab (a European development project exploring VFX, Stereo 3D, and story), and Cornwall Film (Cornwall’s media development agency). Prior to this, she was Head of Development at Zephyr Films, worked in feature film production and as festival director of Cornwall Film Festival. In addition to script editing, Pippa runs a social enterprise, Story of Mum, that supports mothers via coaching, retreats, and online programmes.  www.storyofmum.com.

Jan has spent her entire career working in and with creative businesses. She runs personal development and coaching programmes in the creative and media sectors and has built long and strong relationships with clients. Before her career in people development, Jan was a BBC news journalist where she spent many years working as Education Correspondent. She is passionate about advancing the careers of women to enable them to be their best, authentic selves inside and outside work. She has worked extensively with women returning to work after maternity leave and a career break. Her book ‘Unleashing your Creativity’ (Bloomsbury) helps people come up with bigger and better ideas.

CLOSR (Closer to Home) is an online personal and network development programme for director/producer/writer parents and carers living in the English regions. More information, guidelines and application form can be found in the free-to-join Raising Films Members area.
