We know how hard it is to find space in your busy lives to get a chunky piece of work done, so we’re back with more residencies. If you’re a UK-based writer, director or producer with caring responsibilities, and you’d like a week in a cottage in the Yorkshire Dales to get some work done in March, we invite you to apply.
We’re keeping the applications simple – we ask only for your biography/CV and a 1 page cover letter outlining what you would do with the week. This opportunity is for parents and carers only – please state in your application what your caring responsibilities are. If selected, you will be sharing the cottage with 2 other people. Everyone will have your own room (although one resident will be in a full-sized bunkbed).
We’ll send more details about the cottage and house rules to those selected. The only thing we need from you afterwards will be a write-up of your time there to publish on our website. You can read the stories of previous residents for inspiration.
At this point we can only offer 3 places, but there may be further opportunities later in the year. We regret we are unable to cover travel, subsistence or childcare costs. The cottage is not wheelchair accessible.
